APA- Dakar (Senegal) Over 400 delegates from 180 member countries of the World Customs Organization (WCO), will converge on the Senegalese capital Dakar between 1 and 3 June to participate in a conference and exhibition on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
Its organizers said in a statement to APA on Tuesday that the gathering offers a platform for exchange, reflection and information on all ICT issues dealing with the Customs component of international trade. It is being envisaged that through the course of the meeting public and private structures will expose participants to the tools and technological choices that can contribute to significantly improve Customs performance.
The meeting provides an opportunity for digital actors, beyond the customs domain to reflect on the positive impacts of these information technologies on trade and the international supply chain. To this end, several sessions are planned to headline issues such as interconnectivity, communication, leadership, innovation, governance and training, focusing on research directions and various solutions offered by ICTs.
